One teen killed in car crash




One student died in a single-car crash on Rangsit – Nakornnayok road early Saturday morning.

Policeman identified the victim as Somchai, a 22 year-old student, was travelling dormitory from the party at Rangsit when he changed lanes and lost control of his Volkswagen. The car went on to the shoulder of the road and crashed to the tree. The victim was immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment but he dead on arrival to the hospital.

Witnesses said that the car was running very fast before it lost control. The victim was thrown out of the car because he was not wearing a seat belt. 

According to the police report, the victim was texting while driving the car. A policeman found his mobile phone under the driver’s seat that showed an on-going conversation with friend. He had to concentrate with the conversation more than the road and the surrounding. So, his car went on to the shoulder of the road and crashed to the tree.
